Currently, all the operating systems and system equipment is 3 cars per train (3 cars stands for a unit) on Kaohsiung Metro. With the current average ridership, it meets the service indicators required by the government. As the ridership grows steadily, we shall proceed to evaluate the possibility of 6 cars per train.
In addition, ridership is higher during peak hours or when there is special events that draws crowd, KRTC facilitate that with shortening the headways and adding more trains to the sections needed in order to maintain the level of service mass transit system should provide.
