Escalator is a place where people are more likely to crowd up due to relatively narrow space. In order to avoid the danger when hasty passengers try to speedily move along the escalator, the KRTC has never encouraged these passengers to use the left side of the escalator as the fast track. Furthermore, KRTC made broadcasts at the escalators of all stations to ask the passengers to "Please hold the handrail and stand in the yellow line". The same message has been carried out with other medias such as the electronic text marquee, Kaohsiung Metro fan clubs and so on in order for passengers to protect the safety of oneself.
