Power of Industry｜Kaohsiung Metro

"Power of Industry" seeks to capture and convert images of "industrially manufactured products" in ways that make the relevant to the lives of local people. Elements of "manufactured products" such as household electrical appliances, machine tools, bicycles, medical equipment and other products, are combined to display images of assembled parts. In the digital age, this high degree of perspective, sense of overlapping and surreal images from huge X-ray imaging optical impressions, reverses the role of "people" and "objects". Using transparent space between ticket machines, station compartments, access roads, galleries, stairs, elevators and escalators, the image installation guides visitors, who resemble tiny spare parts, shuttling amidst a jungle of industrial images, creating dynamic tension between technology and fashion from the cold language of industry. It also transforms the production process of "industry" into an expression of life aesthetics.
