Kaohsiung Through a Boundless Clear Sky

This work is comprised of 1680cm×300cm mirror like glass, installed on the wall in front of the stairs inside the station. On the upper part of the glass are printed composite images of landmark buildings in Kaohsiung city on a clear sunny day. This forms a landscape strip looking into the horizon and this distant line gradually connects with the lower half of the glass which reflects passengers leaving the MRT station. As MRT passengers walk up the stairs the first thing they see is the vast empty sky and then they start to recognize the outline of Kaohsiung city an then finally they see their own images inverted in the mirror glass. The artist successfully combines images of the sky, Kaohsiung and passengers themselves in one ingenious work.
