Traveling Safely｜Kaohsiung Metro

MRT stations are important transport hubs used by people each and every day as they go about their business. This work is based on the ebb and flow of humanity in and out of such stations. The Chinese characters for good fortune, good job, longevity and happiness (Fu, Lu, Shou, Hsi) are represented by hard working students carrying their backpacks to school; adults with suitcases making their way to work; old people walking stick in hand to visit old friends; a young married couple with suitcases leaving on their honeymoon. Together these four auspicious characters imply a safe journey and fortune. The work is presented in the form of traditional spring festival couplets infused with modern language, showcasing a powerful sense of the local area and a new visual effect.
