Migration ｜Kaohsiung Metro

Cianjhen Senior High School Station is next to Matsu Harbor. Upstream is Fong Shan River and downstream Cianjhen River. In ancient times this shoreline was filled with boats that made the journey from Kaohsiung Bay. The water is clear allowing visitors to clearly see various fish and river vegetation. On the east side of the station is one of Kaohsiung’s most well-known evening fish markets. This work combines citizen memory and participation, and was produced by art students from Cianjhen Senior High School, Wu Chia Junior High School and Houg Mao Gang Mosaic Studio. The topic is well known marine life, with fish and every other marine animal follow a migratory path, offering a comparison between past and present.
